After studying A Level Art and then working in London for various advertising agencies, I didn't pick up a paint brush again until 2008 when I booked onto a Mixed Media course at Buckingham Art School. In the early days my paintings were inspired by my children, animals and family holiday scenes.
Based on a working farm I work either in my kitchen, which looks out onto the beautiful North Oxfordshire Countryside, or outside! Living where I do, I am inspired by my surroundings, whether it be a horse leaning over a fence or jug of freshly cut flowers. When I have painted a picture I tend to leave it propped up in the kitchen for family comments and discussions - an important part of the painting process.
