In 2021 Artists in the Countryside saw a fabulous group of artists exhibiting alongside the organisers, Miranda Markham and Graham Perryman. These included Alexandra Buckle; Karen Joy; Celine Beaugrand; Zoe Day; Isobel Rymer; Barry Miller; Gill Heaton; Nic Vickery; Maureen Gillespie; Lucia Pearson-Gee; Michele Greene; Lina Carr.
We were so fortunate with the weather too, which saw may of the artists setting up their easels, grabbing brushes and paint, to capture the beautiful scenery. A perfect opportunity to paint 'plein-air'.
At the Friday Private View we welcomed many art lovers, friends and family and enjoyed the art, wine and the fabulous Markham Asparagus from the grill. The event continued over the weekend and everybody seemed to really enjoy the locally baked cakes and the wonderful setting in Newton Purcell Village Hall.
Funds raised by the exhibition were donated to St Michaels and all Angels Church to help with its up keep.
